Amazingly, Burklyn offers both the ideal experience and spectacular dance training. I was not expecting to be taught by ABT principals and owners of international dance companies. It was spectacular how we had the opportunity to experience other types of dance along with rigorous ballet training, such as modern, contemporary, ZUMBA, and jazz! Pointe and pas de deux classes were also emphasized and offered a professional experience. Being involved in such professional performances provides an experience like no other.
Burklyn Ballet Theatre
Modeled after the schedule and rigors of a professional ballet company, our summer intensive is for the 12 to 25 year old pre-professional dancer. Every dancer is offered the challenge and opportunity to learn and perform new repertoire each week. Dancers spend Monday through Thursday taking three technique classes per day. Pointe, jazz, modern, character, variations and partnering are taught as extra compulsory classes four times weekly. Afternoon and evening rehearsals follow daily classes. Friday’s schedule consists of two technique classes and a dress rehearsal. Saturdays begin with warm up class followed by final rehearsals and preparations for the evening’s public performance.
Pricing is all inclusive. No additional hidden fees for rehearsals, performances, costumes, etc. apply to any Burklyn experience.
*Pointe is required for this program.

BBT Workshop
BBT Workshop is a two week program option available to dancers 12 years old and up. The workshop is designed for serious dancers with less experience. Participants of this program take one ballet class and two other classes each day. This provides the dancers with a less intensive, yet professional experience. These dancers are given two weeks to perfect the choreography and perform on the last Saturday of their session.
Scholarships
Burklyn Ballet Theatre offers a limited number of scholarships ranging from $100 to $500. Dancers are automatically considered for talent-based scholarships during the audition. No separate application is necessary. Scholarship notifications are sent out throughout the audition tour.
