[It was very memorable] having the opportunity to work one on one with Helen Starr and Alun Jones while learning the Dawn variation from Coppelia. I’ve always enjoyed their instruction, but having the chance to get individual attention from them made me realize how much I truly enjoy dancing. Helen and Alun both have the ability to make you feel as though you are the most beautiful dancer in the world while continually encouraging you to push harder and do it a little better each time. With Helen’s charming accent and Alun’s entertaining sense of humor, rehearsals were never a bore and I was honored to have received so much advice and knowledge from them both.
