The Choreographic Project is open to six dancers 14 years and older who wish to experiment in choreography. They are required to submit a proposal including type of dance, number of dancers, composer, costume requirements and lighting plan to the Artistic Director. Choreographic students are required to attend classes as well as conduct all their rehearsals.
Pricing is all inclusive. No additional hidden fees for rehearsals, performances, costumes, etc. apply to any Burklyn experience.
I’m not sure what direction Laurie will be taking in her dance career but I know this experience will stay with her forever. She was exposed to more than she ever would have just staying and dancing at her studio this summer and for that I thank you. I am amazed how talented these dancers are and how far they traveled to attend Burklyn Ballet Theatre. I’m so glad Burklyn Ballet Theatre was recommended to us, and only sorry we did not know of you sooner.

One of my goals this summer was to learn partnering techniques (that I had not been exposed to before) to use with male dancers, which I had the opportunity to do. It was nice to be free from fear, knowing that our male partners were mostly older and therefore more experienced in “pas” classes. Another of my goals was improving my ability to pick up quickly and get a dance “performance ready” in a week.
