Intermediate Program

The Intermediate Program runs for a two week session.  This program is designed to introduce the young dancer to a summer dance experience in a safe and supportive environment and to allow them to work beside, and learn from, the older, more advanced dancers.  The program slowly prepares them to become part of Burklyn Ballet Theatre.  They learn to utilize their time in class and rehearsals and to understand the need to relax and enjoy their years as a teenager.

Dancers in the Intermediate Program are housed on a separate floor in the same building as the older dancers.  They are chaperoned by two adults and two professional dancers.   Recreational and educational trips, swimming in our Olympic pool, and crafts are an important part of their schedules. 18 dancers are accepted, by audition, into the program.
